Haratz Dental Insurance
Information

Dental coverage can be confusing. We make it simple.

Making Sense of Dental Insurance at Haratz Dental

Patients who call our Aventura office have one question more than any other: "Do you take my insurance?" It is one of the most common concerns people have before scheduling a dental appointment, and we completely understand why. Insurance terminology is confusing, coverage varies widely, and the difference between "in-network" and "out-of-network" is not always clear. At Haratz Dental, our goal is to help every patient understand their options, work with their benefits wherever possible, and never let insurance confusion stand between them and the care they need.

Insurance Information

We Work With All Insurances

Haratz Dental works with all dental insurance plans on your behalf. While we are not contracted in-network with every carrier, we will file claims directly with your insurance company so you can still receive reimbursement for covered services. Our team is experienced in navigating insurance benefits and will help you understand what your plan covers before treatment begins.

For patients with PPO insurance plans, we are happy to accept and bill the following major carriers:

We also accept Medicare Advantage plans. We do not accept HMO (DHMO) plans, standard Medicaid, or standard Medicare at this time.

A Note on In-Network vs. Out-Of-Network

Being in-network means a dental office has a negotiated contract with a specific insurance carrier, which can lower your out-of-pocket costs for covered services. Being out-of-network does not mean your insurance won't help cover your care. With most PPO plans, you can still receive reimbursement from your insurance company even when visiting an out-of-network provider. Our team will submit claims on your behalf and help you understand your estimated benefits in advance.

Understanding What Dental Insurance Covers

What Most Plans Typically Include

Dental insurance is a cost-sharing benefit, not a full-coverage plan. Most traditional dental insurance follows a general coverage structure that prioritizes preventive care. Preventive services such as routine cleanings, exams, and X-rays are often covered at 100%. Basic procedures, such as fillings, are typically covered at a lower percentage, and major procedures such as crowns, implants, or extensive restorative work are usually covered at an even lower rate, with the patient responsible for the remaining balance.

Every plan has its own annual maximum, meaning there is a cap on how much the insurance company will pay out in a given year. Once that maximum is reached, any remaining treatment cost is the patient's responsibility. Dental insurance also commonly includes waiting periods for major procedures, meaning newly enrolled patients may need to wait before certain treatments are covered.

It is important to understand that dental insurance is designed as a supplement to help offset the cost of care, not to cover every treatment in full. Our team is happy to review your benefits with you and provide a treatment estimate before any procedure begins, so there are no surprises.

Financing and Payment Options

For patients whose insurance does not fully cover their treatment, or who want to spread the cost of larger procedures over time, we offer several flexible options. Haratz Dental works with Cherry and CareCredit to provide financing that makes it easier to move forward with the care you need. We also accept HSA and FSA accounts, as well as major credit cards and cash. A Cherry financing calculator will be available on this page once our integration is complete, allowing you to estimate monthly payment options before your appointment.

No Insurance? No Problem.

Not every patient has dental insurance, and that should never be a barrier to quality care. Haratz Dental offers an in-house membership plan built specifically for patients who are uninsured or whose insurance does not cover the treatments they need. There are no monthly premiums, no deductibles, no waiting periods, and no annual maximum surprises. Just straightforward, predictable access to the preventive and restorative care your smile deserves.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about insurance are the most common reason patients contact our office before their first visit. Below are a few answers to the questions we hear most often.

Does Haratz Dental take my insurance?

We work with all insurance plans and will file claims on your behalf. While we are not in-network with every carrier, most PPO plans still provide reimbursement when you see an out-of-network provider. We accept all major PPO plans, including Delta Dental, Aetna, Cigna, Guardian, MetLife, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, and Ameritas. We also accept Medicare Advantage. We do not accept standard Medicaid or standard Medicare. If you are unsure whether your plan applies, call our office at (786) 981-3752, and our team will help you find out.

No insurance? No problem. Haratz Dental offers an in-house membership plan designed specifically for patients without dental insurance. Our membership tiers provide two to four preventive visits per year, routine X-rays, fluoride treatments, gum health assessments, and a 20% discount on all additional dental procedures. Plans start at $699 per year. This is not insurance, but it is a straightforward, affordable way to stay on top of your dental health without monthly premiums or coverage limitations. You can learn more and enroll on our membership plan page.

We offer financing through Cherry and CareCredit to help patients manage the cost of more extensive dental work. These options allow you to break larger treatment costs into monthly payments, making procedures like dental implants, Invisalign, or smile makeovers much more accessible. We also accept HSA and FSA accounts. Speak with our team at your consultation, and we can walk you through the options that best fit your situation.
